Sam is one of the most driven people that I have ever known. He is an Eagle Scout, A National Merit Scholar and he received his Computer Science Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Stanford University with honors after just four years. Later he went back to school to earn another Master's Degree in teaching. He has worked hard during our entire marriage and we are so grateful. Nowadays you can find Sam grading papers, helping Aaron with his math, making sure the boys have their Scouting and Faith in God programs well in hand or helping my mom keep track of her finances. If only I could convince him of the joys of baseball.:) He is the best husband, son, son-in-law, brother and father that anyone could ever ask for, and this girl would be lost without him. We love you Honey!

Happy belated birthday Sam. I hope it was your best one yet.+
Tell Sam Happy Birthday from us, belated. However, this post could go either one of two ways: a fancy introduction as a BYU devotional speaker, or.... his obituary. Keep it on hand in case one of those scenarios comes up. He IS getting old. :-)
I know. He was kind of annoyed at this post and just rolled his eyes when he saw it. I get that a lot from him.:)
Oh, by the way, you aren't late with the birthday wishes. I purposely posted this a week early so that everyone could say "Happy Birthday!" by Saturday
Happy birthday, Sam! (Does he see these comments?) You have always been one of my heroes. You are a fantastic example of how a husband, father, and BIG brother should be! One of my favorite Sam memories is when he was a newly-returned missionary (came home to Kansas City) and I was struggling with math homework, and he sat patiently on the back porch step with me and helped me with it. I was even crying with frustration, but this awesome, patient older brother kept at it. Sounds like some things haven't changed much. :)
