Book Club!

Everyone, this is big news! So, get ready. I finally read the book club book. Don't faint!!! This month we read These is my Words by Nancy Turner (I think that's her name). It was just my kind of book - historical fiction. I love that stuff! The book kind of reminded me The Diary of Mattie Spencer which I also liked. Luckily Sarah's nasty (first) husband died unlike Mattie's who hung around and made me wonder why Mattie didn't dump that no-good sorry piece of - oh wait, this is a family blog. The book was a bit brutal and depressing in places, but I would still recommend it. So, ladies, I will see you at book club. Get ready to be dazzled by my intellect as we discuss.

We'll be so glad you have you here!
Book Group is at my house - but the time has been changed to 8:00.
Glad you liked the book - I LOVED it until the last 30 pages and then my opinion changed quite a bit!

Julie -- I just want you to know that if you were my neighbor and you put up a batting cage in your yard I would say, " COOL, COOL, COOL -- Can we come play too?!!"

I LOVE These Is My Words! One of my recent favorite books, actually. (Do you realize there are two sequels? I wasn't thrilled about this--what else is there to the story--but they ended up being pretty good.)
p.s. Your book club sounds fun, I'm jealous.
