Amber birthday girl!

We so love this wild and crazy 6 year old girl.  Here she is at her end of the year tball party.
She asked me as soon as we left the party when she could sign up to play tball again.  She loved it!
Amber's family party was at McDonalds.  Yahoo.  Happy meals and turtle cake.  Who could ask for more?
Of course this was after she had a sleepover with Grandma and gone out to breakfast with Grandma and Aunt Em.  When the Village Inn servers came to sing to her, Amber almost burst into tears from embarassment. :)
 Best birthday ever.
For her friend party, Amber chose to play water games in the backyard.  You can kind of see her swimming pool cake.
 Make a wish!
Amber loaded up on the gifts.  Her friends have totally awesome taste in presents.  It's fabulous to be six!

What do you do at the end of School?

Well, first of all, you thank your lucky stars that your handsome but naughty eigth grader actually graduated from middle school-not incidentally with honors this year. Don't worry though.  He's got that out of his system. :)
And then you take Aunt Emily and the girls on a Memorial Day trip to decorate Poppy's grave.
Of course we had to check out the Reservoir while we were in Blanding.  It was very cold but the girls were undeterred.  Brr!
Amber stayed in the water for maybe three minutes. :)
Luckily Aunt Emily watched them up close because it was so cold that I wouldn't even get out of the car.
On the way back, we had to stop for lunch at the Twin Rocks Cafe in Bluff.  The girls love to pose with the stuffed animals in the gift shop.
Amber even talked Aunt Em into buying her this stuffed animal named Black Jack Jr. for her birthday.
Amber and Miranda way up above Bluff!
 Bethany on her way down.
Fun trip but now we're back in the Land of Enchantment.  Miranda begged me to stop at the state line so that she could step in two states at once.
