Help! I am becoming the world's worst blogger. My end of the year scrapbook is going to be pathetic. You would think I'd have much more time during the summer for this type of thing, but it seems that I just get exceedingly lazy the minute school gets out. The following pictures were not even taken by me. How sad is that? So, thanks Erin and Amber for making a record of the events in my childen's lives.
The girls performed in a musical called "Welcome to the Jungle" this summer. It was so much fun. My only complaint is that the songs were so catchy that we still find ourselves singing them again and again even though rehearsals have been over for almost two weeks. When we get a dvd of the play, I will make sure to post a song or two and then you will see what I mean. Here is Miranda, who had her first speaking part this year. She didn't want a part at first but she changed her mind. And thank goodness she did. She was magnificent. I'm telling you, people. A star is born. (And she makes a darling giraffe, don't you think? I always knew that long neck would come in handy some day.)Here is Miranda with the rest of the giraffe brigade. We had remnants of this make-up on for several days.
And here is Bethany with the other zebras. Bethany got to be the main zebra and she had several lines. She thought she was pretty hot stuff. Do you love the ears we got off of Ebay, or what? Thanks Sarah and Sharee for making musical theatre class so much fun. You guys are the best musical theatre directors ever!

Whoever painted those faces did an AMAZING job! Looks like a bright, colorful, and creative show!
Gotta love EBAY!
What great fun!! I think my 7 year old daughter would love theater!
We missed all of it this year. I had already signed the girls up for LC's basketball camp, so we couldn't make the rehearsals, then we were out of town for the show. :(
Looks like a ton of fun and the face painting is amazing!
