We hadn't gotten family pictures taken in a couple of years - mostly because getting Amber to sit still is a nightmare. So, we decided the time had come. We had a fabulous photographer in our stake do the job and it was almost completely painless. Thanks Erin! Here are some of our favorites. (There's also one on our banner but it's kind of small and you can't see it very well). Those of you who live out of town will be getting a picture with your Christmas letter. Anyone who's in town and wants a letter, let me know. I'm gearing up to write it - if I can think of anything interesting that I didn't already put on the blog.

The three Smith princesses.

And we can't forget our resident studmuffins!

I know I'm slightly biased, but I think these kids are gorgeous!

The family at Elena Gallegos Park.

Lovebirds!

This was the last pose we did. The sun was setting and I think it turned out so pretty.

Julie, Your family pictures are wonderful!! You do have some nice looking kids! I have to say that you look beautiful in the one of you and Sam.
Great pictures Julie! You and Sam still look exactly like I remember!:)
Ooh, love these! That last one is so dreamy--I've always wanted a sunset picture, maybe at a beach but I love your desert mountain setting, too. My nieces & nephews are so cute! And man, you & Sam are keepin' the love alive. ;)
oh, and p.s. love LOVE your hair, Julie! Awesome highlights & cut. When I come visit you are definitely taking me to your stylist!
Love them!
The pictures turned out perfect Julie! Beautiful setting and a beautiful family!
Julie, everyone looks so happy and calm!! Like a dream. And that last picture with the sunset... I find it hard to get the sun to smile on command like that.
I really want to do pictures, but it's so much work and it looks yucky outside. Maybe next spring? I like your location pick!
BTW, I am a bit perplexed about what to do about a christmas letter now that I have a blog, too! What is the solution? and p.s. I started responding to your question about the choir on a post in my blog but I have to check with what I'm allowed to post. We have strict instructions about what we can and can't talk about. I guess they want 1 person to be their PR person, not 600 of us on our blogs and facebooks! :( The gist of it is that last year's concert will be shown all over PBS and KBYU this season and this year's concert will be produced and shown next Christmas.
Beautiful! I'm so glad I live out of town!
Great pictures! I really like the one of you lovebirds, so relaxed and happy.
These look GREAT! You guys are a good lookin' family--the last two are my favorite. :)
Great pictures...and I will adopt you if I can adopt your sister Emily too. I love your family.
Your family is beautiful! Thanks for the fun blog postings so I can keep up with your busy lives.
