Last night was the championship game for the major league (ages 11 & 12) division at Eastdale Little League. Chad was in the championship game last year, and Aaron was in the minor league championship the year before. Both times they lost and had to content themselves with second place. Boo Hoo! (Actually they got over the disappointment pretty quickly once the postgame waterballoon fights started, but moving on...)

This year, victory was ours at last. :) We were all so proud of our little team. The Giants had a 21-0 season and had one of the only completely undefeated seasons in Eastdale history. Plus, they just had a lot of fun. The boys were so supportive of each other and they played as hard as they worked.

Here is a picture of Aaron and his best friend Jeremy. They have been soulmates since the second grade. They were in the same classes in both second and third grade before Jeremy transferred to the new elementary school. Aaron was devastated, as some of you may recall. They have remained friends with playdates and by requesting to be on the same teams during fall ball when teams are not selected by a draft. This fall they will finally be back at the same school when they start middle school and Aaron is ecstatic. These two are the cutest pair ever and Aaron would not have loved being in the championship nearly as much if he hadn't been able to share it with cute Jeremy. Even though Jeremy lost, he was still so happy for Aaron. We just love that kid.

Go Giants! We have never been on a winning team. Ever. What are the stats on that?!
This will be a memory for a lifetime, you know? Kids experience more freedom in their "highs" of life so moments like this are cherished forEVER.
It's probably all do to a certain cheerleader in the stands, who I will not mention by name, only that her name begins with a J and ends with a "ulie". You are such a supportive mom and I'm trying to be more like you!!!
Oh, we are definitely not always on winning teams, although Chad says Aaron gets lucky way more than he does in that department. During fall ball, they just get put on a team without a draft and the teams are not very well matched. Every year, Chad says he's never doing fall ball again, and I have to bribe him to do it the next year with pumpkin pie and ipod movies.
Aaron, you go boy! Chad, you rocked too. I loved watching you guys play baseball this summer.
