Upward!

Good news everyone! The day that the girls have looked forward to for two long months has finally arrived. Yes, my friends, this weekend was opening weekend at Upward basketball and cheerleading. The girls have been practicing hard and they finally got the chance to strut their stuff. Miranda had a game this Saturday morning at 9:00 and she came into our bedroom at 7:00 saying that she had tried and tried but was just too excited to sleep anymore. I asked her, "So, is it just like Christmas morning?" to which she replied, "Mom, I'm not this excited on Christmas morning, Silly." Alrighty then!

What a doll! Now we just need to work on loosening up her hips and ironing out those synchronization issues. :)

Those are some seriously cute girls! If Miranda was my cheerleader I know she'd inspire me to make a bunch of baskets. Sam's missing those girlies big time. I can't wait until we live closer together, like maybe down your street. :)

Watch out Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders! There is some up and coming talent lurking in those girls, particularly in one Smith girl...
That's so cute how excited she was!

Miranda did great that first day - I was so glad I got to watch Kirra and Miranda! I know Kirra would love to be a cheerleader too! Go Green & White! Oh yeah - Kade is the top boy on the list for preschool next year so looks like he and Amber will be pals at school as well as Sunbeams.
